40 QUESTIONS WITH CACHET: OUR EVOLUTION
2021 marks Cachet’s 40th year in the home building industry. To commemorate our four decades as a developer and builder of custom homes and master-planned communities, we are excited to introduce a new feature to our blog, 40 Questions with Cachet. This series is designed to give you a special behind-the-scenes glance into the company we are so proud to call home. Over the coming months, we hope that our answers provide you with ample insight into our history, core values, customer experience, industry expertise, the future of Cachet, and more.
The entire Cachet team is incredibly grateful to our homeowners for continuing to place their trust in us — it remains our sincerest privilege to build your dream home. We look forward to many more years of creating master-planned communities for active families across Southern Ontario.
HOW HAS CACHET GROWN SINCE ITS INCEPTION?
In our early years, we crafted exclusive custom homes on estate lots. Cachet quickly expanded to become a builder of estate communities, and later, evolved into an award-winning developer and builder of master-planned communities with a wide variety of home styles and sizes. Although we have grown considerably in the last 40 years, our purpose has remained unchanged: Cachet is dedicated to enriching the lives of families by building visionary communities they can be proud to call home.
HOW HAS THE CACHET LOGO CHANGED OVER THE YEARS?
Initially, our logo was very similar to our current one. In the beginning, our company name was Cachet Estate Homes to reflect the estate communities we were creating. The Cachet logo colour palette was emerald green and gold, complete with the tagline “touch of a custom builder.” The first significant change to our logo occurred in the early ’90s when we adapted the colour scheme from green and gold to black and gold. Over the years, as we transitioned to building master-planned communities, we removed Estate from our name as it no longer fit the company we are today. The final addition to our refreshed logo was a new tagline “building visionary communities” to represent the mission we strive to fulfill every day.
WHAT’S CHANGED ABOUT THE INDUSTRY SINCE CACHET FIRST STARTED?
An incredible amount has changed in the homebuilding industry over the last 40 years. However, the two biggest changes are the technological advancements that have improved our building processes and the ever-increasing provincial and municipal policies designed to regulate and restrict what we can build and where.
