Try Elliott Tree Farm’s Maple Syrup Experience
Celebrate the 2023 maple syrup harvest by experiencing the sugar bush firsthand. Just 15 minutes from Erin Glen, Elliott Tree Farm in Erin promises a sweet start to your March Break. Begin your day with their famous all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast in the Horse Barn Canteen, followed by a brief history of maple syrup in the tree cellar. Afterwards, walk their trails, see their horses, get lost in a hay bale maze, and experience the process of maple syrup production, which includes checking sap buckets in the forest, tasting sap and maple sugar, and learning how to make toffee.

Treat the Kids to a Disney on Ice Show
Celebrate the love of family with two of Disney’s most beloved stories: Encanto and Frozen. From March 15 to March 19, Disney on Ice: Frozen & Encanto will bring beloved characters Elsa, Anna and Olaf, and Mirabel, Isabela and Luisa to Hamilton’s FirstOntario Centre, just a 20-minute drive from Mount Hope. Hosted by Mickey and Minnie and filled with world-class figure skating, acrobatics, and stunts, come dance and sing along to Frozen and Encanto brought to life like never before.
Board the Library Express at the Wellington County Library
From March 13 through March 20, enjoy a specialized March Break program of crafts and special guests at 14 branch locations across Wellington County, just 20 minutes from Cachet Arthur. Each day, libraries near Elora and Fergus will feature exciting drop-in activities for the entire family that include doing fun crafts like train car decorating, animal meet and greets, family story time, puzzles and science experiments.
Send Your Kids to Culinary Day Camp at 1909 Culinary Academy
Do your kids love food? Perfect for kids ages 5-13, the March Break Culinary Day Camp at 1909 Culinary Academy is just minutes from Generations in the Village of Ayr, and is guaranteed to be packed full of fun, games, crafts, skits, campfires and plenty of time in the kitchen. With both snacks and lunch provided, the Culinary Day Camp is the perfect opportunity for kids to socialize with other kids, become more independent, and learn all about food — where it comes from, how it grows, and how it gets to our table.
Visit the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory
Escape the cold with a visit to the vibrant Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory, just 20 minutes from nature-inspired Westwood Village. The tropical conservatory features thousands of free-flying butterflies from all over the world, and hosts a variety of tropical plants, birds, and animals, as well as a variety of water features. During the week of March Break, enjoy the magic of morphos, and witness butterflies emerge from their chrysalis and take their first flight!
