Try Elliott Tree Farm’s Maple Syrup Experience
Just 15 minutes from Erin Glen, Elliott Tree Farm in Erin promises a sweet start to your March Break. Walk their trails, see their horses, and experience the process behind harvesting maple syrup, which includes checking sap buckets in the forest; making toffee; tasting maple sugar candy; and enjoying all-you-can-eat pancakes at their on-site Heritage Barn.
Treat the Kids to a Disney on Ice Show
If your kids are Disney fans, they’ll love a night spent watching their favourite characters come to life. From March 17 to March 20, Disney on Ice: Mickey’s Search Party will bring beloved characters from Moana, Coco, Aladdin, Toy Story, Frozen and more to Hamilton’s FirstOntario Centre, just a 20 minute drive from Mount Hope. Filled with world-class skating, acrobatics and stunts, this is sure to be a spring break highlight for the whole family.
Have a Dino-mite Time at the Wellington County Museum
From March 15 through March 18, dinosaurs will be invading the Wellington County Museum in Fergus, just 20 minutes from Cachet Arthur. The museum’s Feathers & Fossils program lets kids explore and learn about dinosaurs, and also features crafts and games for all ages to participate in.
Take a Cooking Class at 1909 Culinary Academy
In need of new dinner ideas, or maybe a parents’ night out? Let 1909 Culinary Academy help spark your imagination and indulge your taste buds. Just minutes from Generations in the Village of Ayr, this beloved local establishment offers a host of cooking classes that range from grilling the perfect steak and making pasta from scratch to whipping up the perfect taco. Visit the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory
Spring may be right around the corner, but a trip to the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory will make it feel as though it’s already here. Just 20 minutes from nature-inspired Westwood Village, the conservatory features an indoor tropical garden and thousands of free-flying butterflies from all over the world, as well as hundreds of different varieties of tropical plants, waterfalls, and animals including finches, quails and turtles.
