40 Questions with Cachet

2021 marks Cachet’s 40th year in the home building industry. To commemorate our four decades as a developer and builder of custom homes and master-planned communities, we are excited to introduce a new feature to our blog, 40 Questions with Cachet. This series is designed to give you a special behind-the-scenes glance into the company we are so proud to call home. Over the coming months, we hope that our answers provide you with ample insight into our history, core values, customer experience, industry expertise, the future of Cachet, and more.

The entire Cachet team is incredibly grateful to our homeowners for continuing to place their trust in us — it remains our sincerest privilege to build your dream home. We look forward to many more years of creating master-planned communities for active families across Southern Ontario.

When selecting finishes for your projects you go a step above — why?

We have always prided ourselves on offering a vast selection of imported flooring, hardwood, tiling, counters, fixtures and accessories.  For our projects, we focus on selecting beautiful features that also provide the best value to home buyers, including many practical, high-quality and comfortable finishes as standard. It is important to us that our purchasers have access to an array of design options and upgrades to help them personalize their space; this is how their new Cachet house becomes their dream home.

How do you give back to the communities you build in?

At Cachet, our commitment to our communities is two-fold.

Our first objective is to ensure that the new homes we build in established neighbourhoods are designed to seamlessly blend in with the existing architecture and to enhance the overall community. Cachet has always shown the utmost respect for the neighbourhoods in which we build, striving to be as sensitive to the interests of existing communities as possible.  We seek to leave behind a development that will be embraced by the town, as we believe this is how communities truly flourish.

Our second objective is to do our best to contribute to community causes in the towns and neighbourhoods we build in. For example, in Grand Valley, we donated to build the community water park; in Hamilton, we gave to the regional food bank; in Cambridge, we contributed to RARE, an urban land trust and environmental institute dedicated to the preservation and protection of almost a thousand acres of highly sensitive lands in the Waterloo region; in Thornhill, we supported Hesperus Village, a seniors’ affordable housing community, just to name a few. We care deeply about our homeowners and the strength of their neighbourhoods, understanding that thriving families live in thriving communities.

Why do you think people keep supporting Cachet by buying Cachet homes? To what do you attribute your success?

After four decades of home building excellence, we remain dedicated to our original vision of building homes that withstand the test of time—both in design and value. This is evidenced by the thousands of quality homes and numerous visionary master-planned communities we have successfully built across Southern Ontario. For forty years, we have aspired to create homes and communities that families can be proud of. Cachet’s commitment to architectural innovation, integrity of craftsmanship, superior urban planning, and outstanding customer care continue to be the cornerstones of our success, encouraging homeowners to choose Cachet as their new home builder time after time.
